Ewes for Sale and Adoption

Occasionally we have older sheep (besides lambs) that we are putting up for sale or adoption for various reasons. We will profile each sheep here with their name, personality, age, price (or adoption fee), and reason why we are selling them.

UPDATE 9/9/24: We don't currently have any ewes up for adoption, but whenever we do, we will add them to this page.

Isa - ADOPTED

Isa was born in 2015. She has been the matriarch of our flock since she came to us in 2018 - smart, calm, affectionate, and great mom to lots of healthy lambs she's given birth to. But we think it's time for her to retire from breeding and enjoy her life as a pet without the burden of raring lambs anymore. We'll certain miss her so much!

Millie - ADOPTED

Mille, born 5/4/19. Millie is a registered ewe we are looking to retire from breeding this year. She is a shy girl with a long tail. We are retiring her from breeding because she has poor mothering instincts, but would make a great pet as she is still relatively young at only five years old.

Carrie - ADOPTED

Carrie, born 2018. Carrie is a very sweet girl with a health issue that makes it difficult for her to keep weight on. She did lamb this year but must not be bred ever again as her body can't take it. She does well on pasture, loves grain and treats, but struggles on hay because she seems to have trouble digesting it. She used to be very shy but loves coming right up to people for treats now and follows us around the pasture looking for handouts. She would be perfect somewhere where she can be spoiled rotten with lots of treats and attention, but because of her health issue, we are not asking for any adoption fee for her.

Margo - ADOPTED

Margo, born 3/2/15, is the sweetest, friendliest sheep we have in our flock and we will be sad to see her go, but she's getting up in years and we think it's time she retire from breeding. She loves grain and will come right

Cher - ADOPTED

Cher, born 5/21/21, is still quite young with a long life ahead of her. We are adopting her out because she has narrow hips and poor mothering instincts. She is very shy and flighty and will do well somewhere where she can adjust to people on her own time.

Olivia - ADOPTED

Olivia, born in 2015, is one of our oldest ewes at nine years old. She is a somewhat shy but very gentle sheep who has been with us from the beginning. Although she lambed this year, it's time to gets a break from breeding and lives out her retirement years in peace.

Teefy - ADOPTED

Teefy, born 2018, is a petite girl who used to be very shy and skiddish but has warmed up to us a lot over the past year or two. She is a fantastic mom, but as the smallest ewe in our flock, lambing is tough on her, so we would like to retire her from breeding. She is missing one tooth but is in otherwise excellent health.
